Pink & Powerful Warrior
For many decades, women's wrestling was seen as a novelty or a special attraction. Gone are those days and today's female wrestlers are at the top of many cards around the world and they are turning in some spectacular performances. Women's matches are no longer relegated to one match on a show as a side-show-type attraction. Today's female wrestlers are world-class athletes and are definitely deserving of the accolades they're reaping.
The Midget Wrestling Warriors boasts a phenomenal roster of female wrestlers including former Midget Wrestling Warriors women's champion Danika Della Rouge.
Danika is a phenomenal in-ring performer who has been thrilling crowds for several years and she is looking forward to getting back into the hunt for the women's title on the Midget Wrestling Warriors' "Evolution" Tour 2022.
Danika was a very quick learner and was fortunate enough to earn an opportunity that very few rookie professional wrestlers are afforded. Shortly after she finished her initial training, she was selected to attend a coveted tryout at World Wrestling Entertainment's Performance Center in her hometown of Orlando, Florida. Although she was not offered a WWE contract at the end of her tryout, she wasn't discouraged. She used the opportunity to gather very important feedback and learned of improvements she could make and she left her tryout with renewed enthusiasm, ready to take on the world!
Danika set out on her wrestling career and was anxious to gain as much experience as possible and to show the world what she was capable of.
A Taste Of Gold
When Short Sleeve Sampson sought out to build an all-star roster for his company "Midget Wrestling Warriors" he wanted to include a world-class women's division. Della Rouge crossed his radar and he brought her in to wrestle on some MWW shows. Sampson was quickly impressed by Della Rouge's in-ring skills and her unique ring attire. He added Della Rouge to the Midget Wrestling Warriors roster and it wasn't long before she got her first taste of gold when she captured the inaugural Midget Wrestling Warriors Women's Championship by defeating Lil' Mean Kathleen (pictured below) in a hard-fought battle at Seven Feathers Casino in Canyonville, Oregon. She carried the women's title with pride and defended it against all comers.
Unfortunately, the COVID-19 pandemic put the Midget Wrestling Warriors sold-out tour of Oregon and Western Canada on hold. For approximately a year, Danika and the Warriors sat at home and waited for the go-ahead to resume touring and when that word came, she and her fellow Warriors hit the road where she would continue to defend her title.
In the Summer of 2021, Della Rouge defended her title in a triple threat match at Land of Illusion Adventure Park in Middletown, Ohio against Zoey Skye and Valentina Loca. Early in the match, she heard a pop in her knee and she knew immediately that it wasn't good. Like the true champion that she is, she battled bravely through the rest of the match. Unfortunately, her injury was too much to overcome and Zoey Skye came out victorious and became the new champion. It should be noted, though, that Zoey Skye pinned Valentina Loca for the title victory and Della Rouge was not pinned. She can't wait to get her hands on Zoey Skye again so that she can take back the title that she was never pinned for. You can see this match by clicking the link at the end of this feature.
Since her injury, Danika has been recovering at home and working out to rehab her knee. During our conversation, she tells me that she's ready to get back out on the road and regain her Midget Wrestling Warriors' Women's Championship. She's vowed to return to the ring better than ever and Zoey Skye better be at her best because Danika has the MWW Women's title squarely in her sights!

Outside of the ring, Danika enjoys spending quiet time at home. The fast-paced world of professional wrestling is her passion but when she gets a chance to relax at home, she takes full advantage of the downtime to recharge and get ready to hit the ring again and entertain the fans. She's always excited to see and meet her fans and she's looking forward to meeting as many fans as she can during the Midget Wrestling Warriors "Evolution" Tour 2022.
