FROM HUMBLE BEGINNINGS TO RING TITAN

To look at Kikyo The Fallen Flower today, one would not expect that being bullied would be an issue for them.  However, that was not the case.

'From an early age, I  was the weird tomboy person who loved pro wrestling and the Backstreet Boys.  For that reason, I was bullied."  That was all the reason Kikyo needed to get into amateur wrestling in school which would help in preparation to eventually start training to become a professional wrestler.

"Kurt Angle wrestled amateur and it helped him so it will help me.  It does.  It really does help with that 'catch-as-catch-can' style employed by wrestlers like Timothy Thatcher."

"One night, I was sitting down and I was thinking that I've been telling people for years that I'm going to become a professional wrestler so I started Googling wrestling schools.  I found that at the time, the closest school to me was All Pro Wrestling which was run by Roland Alexander from the infamous "Beyond The Mat" APW. That school cost $6000. That's a lot of money. I could not afford that. So I found the next closest school to me which happened to be in Fresno, California called North American Wrestling run by Money Mike Rain, who was also known as James C from Hoodslam.  I moved around to a few other schools and learned a lot of things from a lot of different people and it all began from there.  Now, here I AM 13 years later.

After 13 years in the professional wrestling business, I asked Kikyo how they felt about the wrestling business now that they've got a lot of experience under their belt and has had a chance to see the wrestling business from all angles.

"I love what I do. I absolutely love what I do. I always have loved it.  It's the drama and politics that can make it crappy for everyone. It is what it is. Every sport and every job has its own office politics in one aspect or another."

They noted that there can be some difficulties when working with groups of men and women who actively participate in such backstage games but was quick to point out that its definitely not everyone.  "There are many wonderful people in the wrestling business and great people who have helped to make professional wrestling a joy to be a part of." reiterated Kikyo.

"You just have to find your crew that you can trust.  It took a long time for me to find that group of people that I could trust.  I did take a year and a half off when I first started because it was just too much for me to handle. I was only 19 years old. I just don't think that people realize the effect that this business can have on a young mind." says Kikyo.

It appears she has definitely found that crew in the Midget Wrestling Warriors as she's become one of the top competitors in the company since joining us during our 2022 Evolution Tour.

The Ups & Downs of Hitting the Road

One of the benefits of being a wrestler is getting to travel and see different places on a regular basis.  Kikyo has been lucky enough to have travelled quite a bit already in such a young career.

"I have wrestled in.....I just added two new states recently so I believe I am up to 14 states I've wrestled in so far.  I get a keychain from every state that I wrestle in and I have a lanyard that I hook them all onto.  I have to add Texas and Tennessee now, actually.  I've also wrestled in Western Canada and in Northern Mexico.  I went to Japan in 2018 to wrestle for Stardom and I tore my knee an hour before the first show happened...literally one hour before bell time."

"I was also bullied a lot when I was coming up in the wrestling business.  I was always told I wasn't good enough.  I was told that no wrestling companies will want me.  Well, that just motivated me more to be the best I can be and I debuted for Shimmer.  I debuted in Western Canada.  I debuted in Mexico.  I've been flown out to other states just to do a run in and I was flown home the same night!  I left that day...came back home that night  and I was back at work the next morning.  I've been able to do these things despite what others said."

Kikyo hopes that by overcoming bullies and naysayers that others can be inspired to achieve their full potential regardless of what others say you can or cannot do.

So, after overcoming bullies and injuries, Kikyo has begun to wreak havoc in Midget Wrestling Warriors.  Wins are piling up and the number one contendership ladder is being steadily climbed with each dominant victory.

With that in mind, the question had to be asked...What does 2023 have in store for Kikyo The Fallen Flower?

"2023?!?! Are you forgetting that there are still two months left in 2022?  I plan to get a title shot at the Midget Wrestling Warriors Women's Championship before the end of this year and I will, without a shadow of a doubt, walk out of that match as the new MWW Women's Champion.  If I were you, I'd jump on a plane to Vegas and place a bet on that happening!"

"Once I get the MWW Women's title, which should already be mine, nobody will be able to take it from me!  I'll leave a path of devastation and destruction all though 2023.  And when I finish mowing through all the girls in MWW...maybe I'll just start beating up the boys!"
