CHASING THE ULTIMATE PRIZE

She may have only become a professional wrestler a mere three years ago but Lil Mean Kathleen wrestles like she's been doing it for decades.  She struts to the ring with confidence and strikes fear into the hearts of her opponents.

"When I was back in high school, I started watching wrestling with my Dad and I immediately realized that was what I wanted to do.  I said 'I'm going to do that...and now I'm doing it!" she said with a laugh when I recently sat down to speak with her.

"I would go to independent shows with my Dad. I attended Top Rope Promotions shows all the time.  During one show we attended, they announced an open house for their wrestling school.  I had no idea they even had a wrestling school!  As it turned out, it was only about 30 minutes from my house so I went to the open house and I just kept going!"

"I was trained by Ryan Drew and Nick Steel.  I also trained for a year with Matt Taven and Vincent.  We have two other trainers, as well...Nico Silva, and Elia Markopoulos."

Kathleen trained for just under a year before she wrestled her first professional wrestling match.

"It was a mixed tag and it went pretty well, actually.  I even got to beat up on one of the boys just a little bit during the match." she said with a mischievous laugh when asked about her first match.

"In the beginning of my career in wrestling, I wrestled with Top Rope Promotions and then started to get outside bookings.  I haven't yet wrestled outside of the United States but I would love to!  I'd love to wrestle with Japan and Korea.  Canada is another country that I'd like to wrestle in, as well."

Midget Wrestling Warriors Comes Calling

"I was contacted by Robbie Araujo (Rob The Giant) and he asked me if I would be interested in working for the Midget Wrestling Warriors.  Of course I said yes!  Shortly thereafter, Dan DiLucchio (Short Sleeve Sampson) reached out to me about it and I started travelling with the Warriors and I really like it!"

When asked about her matches and opponents in Midget Wrestling Warriors so far, Kathleen said:

"I've wrestled with Danika the most.  It's always been with me as the heel so far.  I'd love to wrestle her with me as the babyface and they now want me to be a babyface so I'm like 'Yes!".

"I hope to do a lot of travelling with the Midget Wrestling Warriors and, obviously, I hope to win the prestigious Midget Wrestling Warriors Women's Championship.  Hopefully, I'll get a title opportunity in the near future and I'll get to show the champion what I can do in the ring."

It only takes a couple of minutes of speaking with Kathleen to realize what an intelligent and well-spoken young woman she is.  So, when I asked her what she does for work outside of wrestling, it came as no surprise that she's currently in college pursuing a career in a field that requires a ton of inteligence.  Kathleen is currently pursuing her law degree and has two years remaining to get her degree.  When she does reach her goal, she would like to become a public defender.

When not studying law, Kathleen loves to read and play video games.

"I've been playing 'The Sims' a lot lately on the PC.  I'm pretty basic."

If you've seen Kathleen wrestle, she's anything BUT basic.  Her charisma and personality make her lots of fun to watch and you're guaranteed to enjoy any match she's a participant in.
